Question for the group
After Nora's blog this afternoon, I feel guilty asking. Does anyone know or can anyone explain why I seem to be getting horrible headaches? I had one Sunday last week, then starting Wednesday of this week through Thursday evening. I am not sure if it is induced by running as they seem to be centered around this activity or if it is something else. They have been bad enough that I had to leave work both days. Any suggestions? Any ideas?

Chris, this may be a question better answered by experienced runners or maybe even a physician. I had a pounding headache after our first Lincoln Park run but attributed that to lack of fluids. If it's so severe that you can't function at work, you need expert advice. Not sure if I'm allowed to say this but maybe you should walk for a week and see if you are still bothered with the headaches.
Nora,
I went back and tracked my work outs and occurence of headaches. The headaches seem to follow the work outs. Especially after we implemented the 3 mi runs. I googled this and from what I have found, it seems to occur in some people. Apparently there is dilation of the blood vessels in the head, neck, and scalp that can trigger a headache. I am seriously considering your advice. I aim to take the next couple of days off, see how I feel Tuesday, and go from there. Thanks for the response.
